The NRW-Tarif, or the public transport fare regulations for North-Rhine-Westphalia determine the fares for your »door-to-door« travel throughout NRW. This combines all regional trains (RegionalExpress, RegionalBahn, S-Bahn) with bus, tram, light-rail and underground-train travel. The NRW-Tarif applies to all travel within NRW (including the city of Osnabrück) that exceeds the borders of the regional networks and where neither a regional network fare nor a crossover fare between networks applies. There are 2 types of ticket in the NRW-Tarif:

• Package-price tickets are valid NRW-wide and are available at a fixed price
• Journey-price tickets for single journeys or as season tickets apply to a fixed route. The price depends on the distance.
